Grooved Wood Panels - Yuefa Acoustical | Custom Acoustic Wood Solutions

Yuefa Acoustical’s Grooved Wood Panels are suitable for both walls and ceilings, have natural wood veneer laminated onto a 5/8” perforated Fire-Rated MDF, a variety of surface grooving options on the face, and an acoustical black fiberglass mat on the rear of the panels.

Grooved Wood Panels Features

Dimensions:

The Panels can be manufactured to the desired size, with shop drawings produced by YUEFA Acoustical, thereby requiring no field cutting for faster installation. YUEFA Acoustical’s leading production capabilities make the largest panels in the industry: 5′ x 10′ (1.5M x 3M).

Standard grooving spacing is typically 8mm (5/16”), 16mm (5/8”) or 32mm (1 ¼”) while custom groove spacing is also available.

Veneers:

The Grooved Wood Panels can be customized in a variety of wood veneers. YUEFA Acoustical lays up its own veneer. For panels, we offer slip-matched, book-matched, or custom lay-up options.

Finishes:

The Grooved Wood Panels can be finished in standard clear lacquer or can be custom stained to match a control sample. The Panels can also be painted.

Fire Performance

The Grooved Wood Panels are Class A Fire-Rated interior wood finish products as per ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102, and are tested in an accredited NVLAP test facility as a finished composite product using Class A individual components.

Acoustic Performance

The grooved veneer surface, perforated core material, and black fiberglass mat at the rear combine to create a substantial acoustic performance of up to NRC of 0.90 enhanced by introducing an extra layer of sound absorptive fiberglass as a substrate material.

Acclimatization

Like any other architectural natural wood product, the Miniperforated Wood Panels are to be acclimatized inside a controlled interior environment for at least 72 hours before installation. During storage, prior to installation, during installation, and after installation the relative humidity level of 35%-55% and a temperature range of 20°-27°C (68°-81°F) must be maintained.

Custom veneer options are available upon request. If your preferred wood species is not listed, please contact Yuefa Acoustical to confirm availability. All veneers can be custom-stained, and the Miniperforated Wood Panels can also be painted to your specifications.
